Dining
Hello, fellow gluten-free enthusiasts! Today, I’m excited to share my dining experience at City Works (The Star - Frisco, Texas) a place that not only caters to the usual foodie but also to those of us with certain dietary restrictions.
Our Experience
The Ambiance
City Works fits perfectly into the vibrant and modern vibe of the area. The restaurant is extremely chic, with plenty of seating for all types of guests.
The Gluten-Free Menu
City Works offers a few “gluten-sensitive” options including gluten-free buns and pasta upon request. Some of their gluten-free dishes include salad(s), Smoked Chicken Wings, Smoked BBQ Ribs, Salmon entrée, Top Sirloin entrée, Kung Pao Cauliflower and Buffalo Chicken Dip (with corn tortilla chips).
What I Tried
For my meal, I decided to try their Cajun Linguine with gluten-free pasta and with no andouille sausage. However, the server later informed me that the sausage would be hard to remove from the dish; so, I had to choose another entrée. This time, I decided to try their Grilled Chicken Sandwich with no bacon and on a gluten-free bun. Although the mishap with my initial order caused a delay in serving the replaced order, the sandwich was delicious, and the wait was worth it. The manager also personally came and apologized for the mishap and didn’t charge for my food.
The Verdict
If you ask me, my overall dining experience at City Works was a good one. The gluten-free options were plentiful and delicious, and the staff was accommodating.
If you’re in the Frisco area and looking for a great gluten-free dining experience, I recommend City Works. Whether you’re gluten-intolerant or simply prefer a gluten-free diet, City Works has something for everyone.
I hope you enjoyed this review! Stay tuned for more gluten-free adventures
